I am a nationally recognized economist, researcher, and strategist in the fields of commercial, institutional real estate and academia. My dual-industry and academic focus makes me uniquely qualified in both as I can bridge cutting-edge research, analytical and teaching techniques with market leading insight and implementation skills. I specialize in real estate capital markets, market analysis and feasibility, and real estate investment strategy and analysis for firms such as REITs, real estate private equity funds, and private developers. I provide customized research and guidance to aid in capital raising activities, fund management, and investment selection. Additionally, I am routinely called as a keynote speaker for major real estate firms and industry organizations, an expert witness in federal and state matters, and a commentator for major media organizations.
I have earned a Ph. D. in Finance (with minor field in economics) from the University of Central Florida, been designated a Counselor of Real Estate (CRE), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). I have published scholarly articles in journals such as the International Real Estate Review, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Issues as well as practitioner articles in industry outlets such as NAIOP and GlobeSt.com.
