If you have visited Winter Park, Florida, you have undoubtedly walked some part of Park Avenue. But were you aware that just blocks away was an amazing chain of natural lakes? The Winter Park Chain of Lakes that is. There is a boat tour that leaves from Morse Avenue by Lake Osceola (where this photo was taken) that travels the narrow canals and lets you see the magnificent homes of Winter Park. Yes, this is lake town, yet so many visitors or even residents ever see it. I love this photo because it looks like it could be taken from any lakefront in Florida, yet it is safely surrounded by Metropolitan Orlando. As a total side note, our system of lakes are one of the reasons our road network is so weird and disjointed in Central Florida, road planners are constantly dodging lakes!
